A Musical Baby Shower Gift

When thinking about a great baby shower gift, one wouldn't often think about a musical instrument. Unless you plan to let your baby crawl on its toy piano, that's a gift you might reserve for a little ways down the road. I think you know what I mean.

That being said, there are some great instructional toys that would qualify as a fine baby shower gift. Some of them are even musical. Let's think of a few examples.

One of the first things that I would go for is a dangling musical mobile. This is to be dangled above the crib, as an invitation to magic. Both colorful and musical, it delights the dawning senses.

It won't be too long before the baby is up and banging on things, which makes a simple colorful xylophone a perfect baby shower gift. Until they're old enough to play, you play it for them, and excite them toward the mystery of music.
