Books for Baby Shower Games & Gift

So your friend is having a baby and you're trying to find the perfect baby shower gift. Of course they do not know if it is going to be a boy or a girl so it makes it that much harder. You don't want to get all the typical stuff like car seats and baby pillows, and you can't seem to find anything original.

As you wander around you come up with the idea of getting a parenting book for a baby shower gift. Every new parent should have some sort of information on what to expect when the baby is born. There is always something that you didn't think of that would have been nice to prepare for.

After finding a basic parenting book, you decide to try and find some other helpful material. There are plenty of different "baby books" that can be quite helpful for parents to own. For example, you could buy a book on infant nutrition or one about types of music that babies enjoy.

I am basically trying to point out that the gift of knowledge may be a better present than a car seat or crib. All parents know the basic tools they need to raise a baby, but few know exactly what to do if, for example, the baby breaks out in hives.
